Open source - is most commonly applied to the source code of software that is made available to the general public. This allows users to create user-generated software content through either incremental individual effort, or collaboration.
Open source software are available in source code form for which the source code and certain other rights normally reserved for copyright holders are provided under a software license that permits users to study, change, and improve the software.
